Magnaflow Exhaust Shaking

I have a F150 4.2 V6 engine, 2000 model and everytime sometimes when I come to a stop I have a shaking problem with the whole truck. It seemed to be more in the back end of it. I have a magnaflow exhaust system and I told my girlfriend to drive in back of my truck to see if the exhaust was shaking ans sure enough it is shaking like a mother causing the whole truck to vibrate only at a stop and when in gear. When it is in park or nuetral it doesn't shake at all.

I was wondering if this is normal with the Magnaflow system or could it be something else. It's defenitly not the engine. Its purring like a kitten.

Is there some kind of support that can be done with the Magnaflow system or what?

Thanks

Get your truck up on a lift and check it out close. If the exhaust hangers are loose or broken, it will account for the shake. It’s probably an easy fix. Worst-case scenario would be that Kitty is coughing up a fur ball!

A friend is having the same problem w/ his 02...but w/ a Gibson Cat-back systems...It started the very day it was installed...He has been to 2 muffler shops, 2 Ford Dealerships and Gibson....as well as the JBM in Orange 2x's also...NOBODY wanted to fix it and just claimed it was something else causing it including 1 shop blaming it on the tranny...

It was fixed today by putting the counter balance back on the stand pipe....

the dumb sh*t at JBM cut it off and threw it away w/ the stock exhaust and claimed that wasn't the problem....Ford suggested that could be it but wasn't positive it was 100% of the problem....Gibson said it was a tranny issue but JBM did a horrible job of installation....(maybe a little strong but they did laugh and point a lot)
