new f-150 exhaust

hey folks,,,I have a question that I hope someone can help me with - I have a 2004 f-150 fx4 flareside, with the 37 gallon feul tank. I was looking to upgrede to a dual exhaust, but the shop I took the truck to, said it would be almost impossible to run the second pipe out the side the tank is on,,,,any ideas or comments.

thanks alot

I've been told the same by two shops. They can do it but the pipe will be too low and visible from the side - can't go around the rear spring bracket. I'm going to get a Magnaflow 14259 muffler and 35116 tip installed today. The shop is replacing the stock tailpipe with a 3" pipe with the same side exit point as factory. All this for $235 plus tax. Seems this is the same as the Magnafow single-side kit except for the pipe between the cat and muffler.

I can post pictures later if you are interested.
