Flowmaster 50 Series (SUV / Performance)

I'm looking for a deep tone without too much interior noise and I'm close to buying this one.

I'm not sure if I order the offset input or center input??

Also, what's up with the factory exhause pipe bending way up and then back down before it exits behind the rear wheel? I'm not sure if I need to duplicate that with the new exhaust or what.

I'm a rookie when it comes to mods like this, but this forum is pushing me to have some fun with the truck.

Any comments on this series or the current tailpipe would be great.

What truck and engine is this going with? Are you doing a muffler only or an entire exhaust? Is this a single exhaust? That muffler will not give you a "deep tone". There's not alot of growl in a 50 series with the multi-cat setup on these trucks. The factory muffler has a slight offset, but any muffler will need a bit of custom fabrication to make it fit. The upward bend in your rear exhaust section is for suspension movement clearance and you will need this in any behind the wheel exiting exhaust system. Lastly, and this is totally personal opinion, Flowmaster would not be at the top of my list. I would only buy a stainless steel muffler; aluminized mild steel mufflers last about 2 years. I would buy a higher flow muffler for performance reasons. These trucks respond very well to a straight-through design muffler.
