1 chamber flow

I've got an 00 f150 x-cab flareside 4x4 5.4 and I was thinking about putting a single chamber flowmaster with a y-pipe and duals. I know it will be pretty loud but that's what I want, I'm just not sure what it would sound like. My old 97 4.6 f150 had only a y-pipe in place of the muffler and duals and it sounded great but I only got 12 mpg. If anyone has heard a 5.4 with a single chamber flow please let me know.

Man, I bet that would sound good, especially on a 5.4. Seems like those have a better sound than the 4.6's.

I've got a 1 chamber flow with a turndown after the muffler, I had the two rear cat's removed and it's loud as h3ll! If its the big block muscle car sound you want I would highly suggest it. It won't be that loud until you remove two of the four restrictive cats.

Good luck,

P.S. I've got photos of my setup in my gallery.

Did you get any codes by removing the two cats?
