opinions please.......

just made an appointment to have my exaust modified....im just gunna replace the existing muffler with a magnaflow stainless steel (7'' round type) muffler and add a stainless tip on my truck..everything will be welded together and will still be all stainless steel...i can have this done for $148.53 tax included...has anyone done something like this yet? to do a duel exit in all stainless its around $550.00.....is there that much more performance gains with a duel exaust?? i plan on doing an intake system and the programer when they get all the bugs worked out also.....

i have done that...

but it only cost me $75. bought a used magnaflow from ebay for $35, had a shop weld it in place for $40. i dont have a tip on it tho. i am thinking of buying one of the round stainless magnaflows (like what you are looking at) and having it just dump right out of the muffler. i miss the sound from my old truck, this one is too quiet.

what bugs are you referring to about the intakes and programmers? i think they are pretty dependable.

That sounds like a fair price for the muffler, tip, and installation. Performance gains come from a well designed system, single, dual, whatever. I would expect the most performance from a single 3" system, just like the 2V 5.4L made the best of single 3" systems.

thanks guys....

Spaceman.......
the bugs i refered to are mainly on the intake....i read a post from someone that they had to redo the intake systems for the 3v engines and the programers wont be out till 3rd quarter of this year for this motor.....hope they come out sooner because id really like to see how this thing will run with a little tuning.....

I did the exact same thing.......stainless muffler and tip and it sounds great. Your price beats mine by $40.
