Question Magnaflow 15749 hitch clearance

Does anyone know the distance between the rear pipes ? I need to know if this system will clear my draw-tite hitch.
Thanx

Thumbs up

Update: Got the system installed last night. Had to modify pipes to fit around hitch. Looks and sounds great.

You had to modify the pipes to make it fit? That's odd, mine fit perfectly.

I had a local shop (which sells magnaflows) do the install. They told me the rear pipes did not point straight back. They had to heat 'em up and bend 'em. Final result (after 2.2 hours labor)
is great.

I just purchased this system as well. I have a 2003 and I didn't think there would be any problems with clearance involving the hitch or the spare tire. What year trucks do you guys have?? Do you have the factory hitch or an aftermarket one?? Just curious since I am doing my install tomorrow and would like to know if I am going to have problems. Thanks.

Note: he has an aftermarket Draw Tite hitch. It may me wider than the OEM Towing package one. I am 98% confident the Magnaflow system does not interfere with the OEM reciever.

Thanks for the info. I thought I should be all set but wasn't 100%. Did you guys weld the system or just use clamps. I was thinking about spot welding the tips so there isn't any chance of them coming loose but yet I could have the option to break the weld and change tips.

Just curious what you guys think. Thanks again for the help.

I just used the clamps. They say to re-check 'em after 100 miles.

Just put the mangaflow on my 03 Heritage Edition this weekend. The tips clear the hitch but not by much. I was more concerned about the spare tire. If you have the 265/70/R17 tires the pipes will clear with about an inch to spare at the worest place.
