92 fs Bronco 5.0 302-I had my cats pulled and added dual 2.5 from the y pipe with glass packs in 12/99. Need to change, thinking of going with a single 3 or 3.5 inch pipe with a bbk manaflow muffler, to go with my ceramic bbk shorty headers. Can someone please tell if there will be a signifigant hp/torque loss by switching back to the single pipe? I have heard that the length of muffler coresponds with the volume and tone of sound, is this true? I'm probably going to need to add one or two cats as well, if I due it will also be a magaflow, what is an air tube and what does it do? thanks
