HEY GUYS, WHAT MUFFLER IS GONNA GIVE ME THAT RUMBLING THUNDEROUS SOUND OUT OF MY 4.6, I DON'T WANT A PUERTO RICAN SOUNDING EXHAUST

 

cut the muffler out and run straight pipes. Sounds pretty dam good, icant will i get hi flo cats

 

The Bassani 5x8 ovals are a NASCAR ready system
I am trying to get ahold of Mike when time permits, to order 5x11 ovals myself, it is too much for my tasts on 3 hour drives.
I have the true duals made out of a Bassani cat-back for a L.

I have read that the X pipe in the duals will help add the growl at the 2500 RPM range, so maybe part of what I am hearing is the X pipe.
Chidiver just took out his 3"SI/SO Bassani Oval for the same reason, and put in the 5x11 I think.

Straight pipe will do the trick also

 

yeah, i think i am gonna et a x-pipe, 2 high flow cats, and two mufflers, so bassani will give me that rumble i want? I always though they made exhuasts for rice burners

 

I still have the stock cats on, waiting for the warr to run out, prior to doing high flows, as I was also planning on doing kooks long tube headers at the time.

Mine are borken in, with ~ 18K miles or so on them. When I first put them on, for the first ~ 8K miles they were not this loud ( or at least they did not seem like it ).

Bassani makes systems for lots of applications, like MagnaFlow does as well. Another option ( at maybe somewhat of a cost savings ) is getting the MagnaFlow 5x8 Ovlas, or the round mufflers ( in 5-6-7" round ), maybe a set of MagnaPacks ?
I am unsure if the 4.6 has 2.25" pipe or 2.5" pipe. If it does have 2.25" pipe, that might limit you to MagnaFlow.

Don't know if you have a brand preference or not. I can't say how the Bassani would compare to the MagnaFlow, I know I got better 60' times and 0-60 was better then the Gibson ST system.
