luiqid coming out exhuast pipe?
i have a 4.2 v6 and i put a flowmaster 40 series delta flow on it. i have had it for over 3 months. yesterday i notice i poof of smoke come out when i revved it up while in park. so i went and look and there was alll kinds of luiqid coming out of the tail pipe. is this normal? when i rev it up it really shoots out of there. what could be the problem?
thanks for all the help

Condensation. When it is cool outside and you park a hot engine/exhaust, it sits overnight, and you crank it the next day when the exhaust heats up condensation that has accumulated will blow out of the exhaust.
4.2 Headgasket defective!
Some of the 4.2 engines had a TSB on the head gasket leaking. I'm not sure but I believe that it was cylinder #1. This could cause coolant to enter the combustion chamber and exit through the exhaust. Also check your dipstick for bubbles. This would indicate water in your oil which is also a symptom. Not trying to scare you, but it's a possibility. My father owns a 97 Ford Van with the 4.2 and it blew the motor because of this defect. Although there is a TSB out there was never a recall so not sure if there's much you can do except try to fix the problem before it becomes a whole lot worse. Hope this helps! JR
Are there any other signs like decrease in power or anything that can help me determine whether or not i am actually having this problem. It only happens every now and then when i first start up my truck and then i rev it up. it doens't do it every time i rev it up. so is there any other effects it will have on my engine that i can check for?
i have the 4.2 also with the flowmaster and i dont have the smoke or the liquid coming from the tailpipe, even though im sure its there...........

I think you meant to say CO (carbon MONOXIDE)
CO2 is carbon DIOXIDE (used in fire extinguishers)
did you rev it to the limiter?
and was the engine cold?
its possable that the engine wasnt in closed loop and it couldnt compensate blueish smoke indicates either burning oil or a rich fuel condition and theres always the chance you just blew out some carbon from reving it.
if engine runs fine otherwise i wouldnt worry about it. unless it does it all the time.
