can you do a header instulation on a 97 4.6, without moving anything or lifting out of the way, basically is it a driveway type job? i saw horspower tv do it to a gt mustang and it looked like lore work than i wanted to do or could do.

 

To do it on a 97 F-150 you'd deffinately have to take the front tires off to have enough room to do any kind of work. Yea its a project and a half. Not one that I'd do in my driveway.

 

i put headers on my 4.2L v6 and it wasnt too hard. i removed tires and the inner plastic fender well you wont believe how much room you get from removing them makes sparkplugs a snap.

v-8 might be more difficult though i wouldnt know but take a peak behind fenderwells and see maybe you can access every bolt the only other thing you have to remove it the starter. the bolt on top of the starter is kind of a bear to get at. lots of extensions and stubby wrenches will help alot.
