Question f150 exhaust same hp as f250?

if 3" is improvement over the stock 2 1/2" that comes on an f150- why is it the 3" on the 5.4 super duty is rated at 260 hp too?

The 5.4L engines horsepower rating is measured at the flywheel on a test dyno, not installated in a vehicle with full exhaust system. So, they are all rated the same when they leave the engine plant, and head off to be installed in whichever vehicle they end up in.

I thought it was a good question, I'd like to know if the 250's dyno higher at the rear wheels and can't find that out anywhere. That might tell us if the 3" does really help.
