i have heard that the 15609 exhaust system uses a 5x8x24 muffler. having gone to magnaflows website and gotten the part numbers for a couple of them, they range in price from 60.00 to 100.00, depending on offset. my questions are: is it possible to use the existing pipe and just replace the stock muffler with the magnaflow? if so, which offset should i get? i'm not there to look at the system so i have to rely on your expertise. thanks.

 

Yes, i is possble and many people have repalced just the muffler. Just do not expectto get the full performance benefits.
