Question Feedback on Magnaflow mufflers

Has anyone installed any of the following SISO magnaflow mufflers:
5"x8" oval, 18" case
5"x8" oval, 24" case
5"x11" oval, 22" case

How loud is the sound inside and outside the vehicle?
Thanks

Hey there..... I just had the 5x8x22 put on my 4.6L and I'm thrilled. I had the dual gibson supertruck before, and this is WAY better. Before I had dual 2 1/2 " now single 3" and I have more throttle response and sound. Its way deep and throaty sounding, but at highway speeds doesn't drone at all. Hope this helps

I have the 5"x8"x18" Magnaflow on my 01' F150 with a 4.6 and I could not be happier. I didnt want duals and I didnt want anything too loud. It has a nice mellow growl to it. Everyone who listens to it cant believe it is single exhaust and really likes the sound. At highway speed you can barely hear it. When you get on it, it sounds awesome but doesnt sound like a redneck truck. I hope this helps.

I was thinking of buying one of the mentioned mufflers:

5"x8" oval, 18" case
5"x8" oval, 24" case
5"x11" oval, 22" case

And then I was thinking of having a muffler shop put it on using 3"tubing. Is this basically what you guys are doing? How was the price? Is it a good alternative as apposed to buying the Magnaflow 15609 catback exhaust?

Thanks for your input!

The Magnaflow 15609 catback exhaust actually uses a 5x8x24 muffler I found out. This is probably the one I would use.

I ended up installing the SISO, 5"x8" oval, 18" case, Magnaflow muffler. It's sounds great and not too loud. The muffler shop had all three mufflers is stock. He cut off the stock muffler and slid each one in to place so I could hear the difference. The 5.4L engine is so quiet with the cats that the engine without any muffler was not very loud.

I am going to get a magna flow muffler, and so far I have seen 18", 22" and 24". does the length do anything for the sound or performance, or is that not that big of a difference? I was looking at the 5x8x14.

I have a 5x8x18 on my 02 lightning and i love it!! It's not too loud during normal cruise, and only drones in cab at about 65 mph. BUT nothing that is annoying, it's just a little louder and pronounced than any other speed. When you get your foot into it, the muffler lets you know it's there. It's unexplainable, but such a nice, smooth sound. I am very impressed with the overall quality and sound of this muffler compared to flowmaster/dynomax or any of the other knock-offs around.
