Dual Exhaust Pics Wanted
Dual Exhaust Pics Wanted
I want to make a dual exhaust setup for my '02 F-150 2WD 4.6L. This is going to be a project to break in my new mig welder so I'm either going to borrow my friends bender or buy some mandrel bends from Summit Racing and make it myself. I want to run it out the back next to the hitch.
The only thing I can't figure out is where is the best route for the driver's side over the axle? It looks like between the gas tank and the rubber brake line there isn't much space there. I was thinking maybe I could run both lines over the passenger side of the axle and then snake the driver's side around the spare tire but I'm not sure this will work.
Does anyone have pics of how you're pipes are routed over the axle? Hopefully some pics will give me an idea of what options I have. Thanks!

no pics but the description you gave is correct...over the passenger side together then split and around the tire for the driverside...tip; tack it all together first before you make a solid bead...you can also take some 3/8th copper tubing(available at home depot) and bend it to the route you want and then use it as a template for bending the pipe..the pro's use a 1 inch pipe as a guide when mandrle bending their stuff
