I sense not cats

Is there a way to get rid of the cats and the O2 sensors? I heard you can lose some low end torque but how bad can it be? I can do the exhaust work myself but am worried about those darn sensors.

It may be possible

I am not a proffressional but am a handy man since I grew up on farm. I am currently helping a farmer out part time that is only 15 miles from Blair. How many cats do you have left and which one is it. I could take a look at my truck and see if there is enough room to be able to do a good job. And maybe I would try it to my truck first to see if it could work. Other wise try checking out some of the muffler shops in smaller towns around where you live and maybe they would be more willing to do it. I am not sure about working on someones truck that I really don't know. I don't want to mess it up.

cool!

I have the stock 4 cats on there now and the stock Y pipe by the motor. But out the back i have a Y pipe and dual pipes/tips (no mufflers) I would like to hollow out the stock cats and run 2 pipes from the motor to the exhisting tailpipes, and maybe put in a set of cherry bombs.

I may have to settle with Magnaflow hi-flo cats and then true duals with glasspacks.

DAM I HATE CATS!!!!

Green_98, I think I know what you need.

They let you bypass the 02 sensors. You can't pass a sniffer test with them, but how many times you had a sniffer test?

Hey guys, I'm in MO too and I am looking to gut my two front pre-cats. I want to appear stock, keep from adding to the pollution, avoid having to get MIL eliminators, and make my exhaust louder. I also believe at least me pre-cats are partially damaged anyway from running super rich for about 6K miles. (long story) This has been done and gutting the pre-cats doesn't throw a code appearently. If you guys come up with anything, let me know.

Markus21, the front two are pre-cat, so they aren't affected by gutting the cats, so you don't have to do anything to them.
