GIBSON 3" cat back...sour notes...
Need some help here please...just installed a Gibson 3" stainless cat back system on my 99 f-150 supercab with the 5.4L.
I can hardly notice any sound difference from the new system vs. the stock. Too new to comment onthe perforance or the MPG diff. From what I have read in forums, I should have a nice throaty sound from my exhaust now...so I am dissapointed in that very much. Or was my expectation on the exxhaust sound too high. What I did notice was that the way the factory marked the inlet side caused the Gibson stamp on the muffler to be upstide down when viewed from underneith. Is that right? Would it make any difference if the factory marked the intake wrong? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for your help.
