New Ravin' Z33 Install. (Love it.)
Hey guys.. New to the forum. I recently had a Ravin' system (cat-back) installed on my 03 SuperCrew. After reading some reviews on Ravin' from Stangnet, I decided to give them a shot. The guy that owns the Midas shop I went to has Ravin 77's installed on his GMC, so I gave it a listen and was impressed by the growl. He mentioned that the 55's were louder, and the 33's were loudest and might **** off the neighbors.
Never one to be concerned about the neighbors (I'll keep the RPMs down if they shut the damn dog up.) I decided to go with the 33 series. I'm VERY happy with it.
There are pics of my truck as well as some shots of the exhaust (tips only.. I havent climbed under it yet to get shots of the muffler) in my gallery

I just got the 33 installed on my truck too and really love the sound. It is pretty loud but not irritating.
My performance shop put together a cat-back system for me(mandrel bent pipe) for a fraction of the price the Magnaflow cat-back system would have cost me($350 as opposed to close to $1000 Canadian).
Have not had it on long enough to notice the power or mileage difference but it sure sounds sweet!!

Griz, my install was about 400 bucks. I went with the chrome tips instead of the stainless, but next time around I'm going with the stainless. First thing I did when I got them and burned them in for a day was to spray some hi-temp black paint on the insides of the tips and they still get rusty on the bottom where the condensation collects. Stainless doesn't shine up as bright, but I'm not sure I'd mind that all that much. There are shots of the chrome in my gallery
About gains, I haven't noticed anything really. I might even get lower gas mileage now because I'm always putting my foot down to hear the sound
The guy that did my install (RIP Jim) told me that he never lies to the customers. Doesn't matter what the numbers the companies give you are, you probably won't notice any difference, and I sure didn't. It might BE there, but its small enough that you don't notice. It's hard for me to gauge any MPG differences because I don't drive very far to work anyway. And I think much of the HP "gain" is imaginary because when your foot is down and your pipes are screaming, it just feels better
I'm not sure about Midas' parts/labor warranty, sorry.

Skoal,
I ended up going with the Magnaflow 15609. I'm really pleased with the sound, but like you, no gains in MPG. I gotta keep that foot out of it! I have an intake coming and hopefully a Superchips tuner at Christmas
. By the way, that's a nice rig you got there. Take it easy and keep modding!
