I will be getting a 01 screw in about a month and i have a friend that has an 02 with straight pipes and it sounds good. i have a magnaflow catback on now and im happy wth it. Though i dont want to spend $300 on a new one. A exaust shop in town will put on dual straights for a $130. I was wandering the up and downs of straight pipes.Do you lose hp/tq vs.Stock system. Will it even come close to the magnaflow system in performance.

i have straights on my 98 4.6 and i really didnt notice any power loss or gain, it would be very minimal if any. I love the sound, but i hope they dont look under my truck next inspection (might have to fork out another 10 bucks for a sticker )

I cant wait to get hi flo cats! that will really open it up!
