header question
header question
When did shorty headers get so expensive???
I'm thinking about putting on a set. 98 5.4 with just a K&N and 2.5" exhaust split into true duals at the factory "Y" with 40 series Flowmasters.
My question is are they worth the money? I have never dealt with shorty headers just long tube ones. I can pretty much answer my own question with a NO since I had a hard time justifying 175 bucks for long tube headers but felt they were worth the money. As I understand it, shorty headers will never produce the results of a shorty. Yes or No and does anyone have any before and after dyno runs with JUST the header mod being the only difference between the dyno runs?

I think they are worth it. More so than the true dual exhaust IMO.
There was a very noticable difference when I put the headers on my truck and I still have the stock muffler.
I went from shorties to LT on my mustang and didn't notice much difference (other than the hassle installing the LT headers!)
My opinion, save yourself the hassle, go with the shorties.
