Hi, i currently aquired a 1984 F150. It has a 351 which i recently sent to JASPER to have it redone. I now have a edelbrock 4 barrel carburator. I have kept the stock exhaust and headers but would like to go bigger. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I figure i would ask you guys before i go out and burn a hole in my wallet.

 

There are plenty of long tube headers for your truck, and you'll love the power increase. You should be able to find a full mandrel-bent system back from there for a little over 100 bucks. If you're just doing the muffler, I'd stay away from the glass pack, today's mufflers are much better than the old straight thru designs. Even the "cheap ones" flow great. The really hard question is, what sound do you want? They each have their own...

 

get a set of 18" Cherry bombs, or just a pair of 12 inch glasspacks, with 2.5" diameter or bigger. Will sound good!
