I posted a similar question in another thread and was not sure if anyone saw it, so I will try again. Is it possible to put the exhaust from an 03 HD on my 03 Screw? What is the difference, muffler, pipe size, cats? I drove my Dad's 03 HD the other day and it sounds sweet, just the tone I am looking for, not too loud but a nice rumble. I read in another thread that Ford can be a pain in the neck when it comes to warranty claims with an aftermarket exhaust. So my thinking was that a Ford exhaust could not be disputed. Does this make any sense?

 

You are right on both fronts! ... the H-D exhaust will fit (with slight modification) and FoMoCo cannot void any warranty. But then agan, Ford cannot void a warranty because of an aftermarket exhaust system anyway unless they prove it was the definitive cause of a failure that they choose to not cover.

 

LeeRandall, do you have any definitive proof on the warranty issue, i.e. do you work for Ford. Do you know if the only difference between the HD exhaust and stock Screw is from the cat back? What is the cost of an HD exhaust? Sorry if I am asking for too much info but you seem to know what you are talking about.

 

I work for a dealer, your warranty is not going to be affected unless your exhaust causes the damage. I priced the HD exhaust awhile back and it was more than I cared to pay for my truck, cant remember the exact price though.
