Stainless Steel Bending

While shopping for a custom dual setup I was told by the local muffler shop that stainless steel cannot be bent unless right after being manufactured. Is this true?? I would like SS from from cats to tips.

That would be stange, the speed shop that I had do my duals had to do some bending to get the outputs to line up with the Bassani X pipe, and that pipe was shipped from the same place that Neal noted ( got it via Mike T. ).

Sounds like time to find a new shop to have pipe work done at.

Could be a case of the shop does not have a mandrel bender that will handle SS pipe, not all shops do.

Yea to mandrel bend SS pipes takes alot of pressure and most of the machines simply cant do it. I am sure they can do the old crush bends on them, but get the pieces that are already mandrel bent.
