Flowmaster 10 series Race Muffler weld-in
Ok guys,
I see most of you all favor the Magnaflow CatBacks and for good reason. They make an excellent product that provides solid hp/tq gains and a decent sound at WOT.
I debated on the magnaflow setup and after owning two mustangs and saw where most people over at Stangnet.com all loved the magnaflow I had to be different.
I have a flowmaster 10 series (race muffler) welded in with a 3" turndown.
The reason I went with this setup was after much thought as to why I was upgrading my stock exhaust.....I wanted the loudest muffler available, I want everybody to turn there head when I drive by.
Well I originally thought hey the 2 chamber flow would do just that, right? wrong! Now with the (4) Cat's our trucks come with. In Fact the two chamber would have been rather quite in comparison (according to the mufflershop owner)
It was he who turned me on to the 10 Series Flow.
I spent $135 and have one very sweet sound. When cranking it up it sounds like a big block V8, At idle it's almost quite, when you romp on it, it sounds like a freakin Nascar Racecar. It has Very Deep tone with a good bit of Interior Sound...But hey If I can't hear it how will I know if anybody else is hearing it!
My future plans are to have the back two cats cut out to really keep the neighbors awake!
My point in writing this post is if you want that muscle car sound but its not TOO loud, just loud enough to turn a few heads I would look at doing this same setup. It's the loudest setup available for our Trucks with (4) Cats!
It pretty much sounds like the Dodges with two chamber flows, just not quite as loud.
One day I might just figure out how to post a wav file of it for you guys!

Libom....I do live near Atlanta...bout 45 Mins from Downtown...I'm in Paulding County which is North West of Atlanta.
If it's a sweet sound your looking for this setup has it! I'm not sure how much this helped Performance Wise....I don't see where a Straight Through Muffler could hurt performance? Abeit probably didn't get the gains of a Magnaflow....I would bet the house that it sounds better
If your interested in meeting I would be glad to let you see it and hear it!
The Muffler Shop where I had it done is only 5-10 Mins away from I-20 and Thorton Road, Just west of Six Flags over Georgia. He is probably one of the Best in the Business! Everybody I know gets there exhaust work done from him, He's custom built X-pipes, and does alot of Custom Exhaust work! He's very resonably priced and takes pride in his work!
Let me know when you want to hookup and see/hear this exhaust.....email me
Thanks,
Adam
