I am thinking about ordering Bassani muflers online and then taking them into a shop and having them make a custom dual side exit, dual tip exhaust to work with the bassani mufflers. Whould this work ok? Stainless steel piping the best? What size for best sound? Thanks for your help.

i did the same thing only with a si/do flow 40 with 3 1/2''x18'' tips exitting before the right rear tire,works good but the tips get muddy real easy.stainless piping is the best but you pay for what you get.try performance products' web site or bassani's.
3'' or 3 1/2'' x 18-24 sounds pretty good,i got slash cut tips and had em swept backand lined up with the bed skin,looks pretty good that way

 

If you want true duals with the side front exit, you can order that Bassani L exhuast and then have a local shop massage it to fit.
