My flowmaster set-up cost $350 installed. That is about the lowest price you are going to see in the Bay Area, unless you know someone who does side jobs for his buds.

Actually, I am going to be replacing my Flowmaster set up with a Magnaflow 15609 system and a Y-pipe mod. as soon as I installl my E-fans.

A word of advice:

If you want performance go for Magnaflow. If you want a loud sound, go for flowmaster and let it break in. The drone in my cab is irritating.

Flowmaster SIDO with pipes should not be $400. I'd try a couple other shops. Under $300 is good, under $200 is great! I have heard of a couple people getting under $200 installed on F-150's.
