Low End Torque
I continue to hear great things about the Flowmasters. Once I decide on which company I am going to go with, comes the second question. Which setup provides more Low End Torque, SI/DO or true duals? And what diameter pipe is prefered if increased Low End torque is what you are after? Thanks...

From what I gather and all the research I have done 2 1/4 would be your best chioce when running true duals. When running the SI/DO setup most run 2 1/2 or 3 inch back to the muffler then usually run dual 2 1/2's out the rear. I am not for sure which would maintain or improve your low end torque. I'm sure someone else might be able to comment on that.

All I can vouch for is that I have FM40 true duals 2 1/4 on mine, and I have lost some on the low end, not gained it. I've been told to remedy this all I need to do is put on an 'H' pipe. Keep in mind I have a 3.08 rear, so any increase is virtually wasted until I change my gears anyway. Hope this helps.
