I missed your post with the comparison. I wish I had recorded mine before install too. Oh well, yours is good.

If you'd like ot hear the Gibson Swept Side, click on the link at the bottom of my sig. As a comparison to smcconaghie's dual sport, I would compare mine hanging out of the drivers door. The one I did by the tail pipe, is right there, and it sounds louder than it really is.

According to Gibson, the Swept Side is about 2-3 decibels louder than stock and the Dual Sport about 4-5. Listening to smcconaghie's and mine, I thik you can get a pretty good idea. If you're worried about too loud and just want a little mild big block rumble, Swept Side it is. If mine weren't a clean stock looking EB Expy, I'd have gone with the Dual Sport just for that little more sound, but I'm very, very pleased with the Swept Side. It's easy to install too. Uses OEM hangers where the Dual Sport of course needs others; 2 tail pipes vs. 1.

two quick notes..

both of my recording on the other thread are with my laptop computer sitting right next to the exhaust exit.. i think that is why the stock one sounds so loud.. the dual sport is relatively quiet, probably just a bit above the swept side in sound..

also, the Dual Sport uses only the OEM hangers.. no additional hangers are needed..

smcconaghie and familyride provide excellent info on a quality product, ambmull. I would also invite your attention to a Borla split rear -- It has a wonderful mellow churgling warble, that has no resonance in the cab at speed, and it not much louder than stock at idle.
My wife was dead-set against this purchase, and stared me down with a most evil eye when I came home after its installation. After taking a ride (testing with windows both up and down) she said -- smiling just a little -- "OK, I can live with this. It's not obnoxious like I expected"
Now when we ride, sometimes she tries to make deep manly "vrooms" as I accelerate, having a wonderful time at my expense.
Life remains good, thank you.
And Borla comes with everything for installation, right down to the nuts and bolts. Took the Midas boys exactly 17 minutes to install.

smcconaghie

I stand corrected! I could have sworn someone posted that they had a hard time with the hangers for the 2 pipes.
