Thumbs up Borla Cat back and Gibson Headers Installed!

Installed a Borla cat back exhaust si/do and Gibson Headers. The install for both was 5.5 hours. For those worried about power loss at the low end there was none. Also, there is plenty of room around the spare tire as well. The install of the exhaust is easy and took all of 45 minutes in my own garage. ( I had a torch, that cut a lot of time down) The headers took about 5 hours including cleanup. Removing the inner fender wells opens up the area to gain access the manifolds and makes the install much quicker. As far as performance gains, around the 2000 rpm range on up I noticed a large improvement in power. This is perfect for me due to towing of my boat.
For those who don't want a loud system but one that sounds low and has a nice rumble at idle and then has a nice sound when getting on it without the popping when letting off then Borla is the way to go. Also it is all Stainless steel and a million mile warranty. No other has that warranty that I am aware of. The quality of the parts was excellent as well. I am very glad I got the Borla system as well as the Gibson headers. It adds a nice improvement to the other mods I have....

Hey Predator,

I only have the coil packs on mine, no plug wires to rub on the header. I found no problems with the headers I installed on this truck or my last one a 94 f-150 with a 5.0L and they were on for 6 years with no problems
I see you got the Holley Supercharger. I installed one on a buddy of mines 99-f150 it is a sweet set up you will like it. It is a lot of work to install but well worth it. One thing that happened when we installed it on his is we had to notch the Throttle position sensor when we got it done. It wouldn't shift from 2nd to third and I checked the voltages and they were all off. Other than that no problems with the install.
YOu should have a good truck when you get it all togather..Good luck
