I had an Edelbrock RPM series muffler installed about a month ago, and just wanted to let you know why I went this way after hearing one on another F-150.

- absolutely no cab drone at highway speeds
- nice deep but not obnoxious exhaust tone
- high flow rate, 452 cfm.
- doesn't feel like any loss of low end torque, does feel more responsive, but without on a dyno before and after, no one can be sure on any muffler.
The part# is 5510(2.5 offset in and 2.5 center out), which would work for the 98-00 years, not sure about others though, and can be purchased from guys like summitracing. The factory muffler was 26x9x7, while the Edelbrock is 19x9x3.5. After driving it for a couple of weeks, I could hear the tone getting a little more pronounced, as the ceramic packing inside the muffler gets worked in. I then went back to the shop that installed it and had a 12" by 4" diameter T304 stainless tip installed, and this actually gave the exhaust tone a deeper gurgle, which was a bonus. I had read lots of threads here on other types, FM, Gibson, Borla, Ravin, and with virtually no talk about Edelbrock, I thought I would give them a try, and I am very pleased.
