Thank you everyone who recommended dual cat back with no mufflers. I had mine installed at midas yesterday and still cant get the grin off my face. This is the only way to go with the 4.6. I havnt noticed any lose of low end power, but if I did, Trust me it was well worth it!

Midas charged me $250 total including tips. Took 2 hrs and they did an awsome job. Everything is welded perfectly. One of the techs that worked there had the same setup on his 98 f150 and went through everything with me before they did it. Honestly Im not sure about the y pipe, but when I know I'll post it.

 

After talking to the techs at Midas, from the cat they ran 21/2 back to the y which is 2 then 21/4 on back to the tips. They said they did that so I would have some backpressure to keep up the mileage. They said any larger in the y and I would get bad gas mileage. I havent noticed any loss of low end.

 

Hey Tweeter, If you don't mind me asking, How much did they charge for the job at Midas? Also, how big of a Y-pipe did you get? I heard that too small a y pipe and you will lose low end torque. I'd think it'd be the other way around. I want to get my supertruck cut off and get straights so bad, but I'm going to wait till after inspection in june. I wonder if a can take it for inspection a month sooner
