Ok, after considerable time and searching through a million different threads I've found what I need for my truck. I'm sure that most of you have done the same.

People want different things from their exhaust systems, for different reasons: low end torque, noise (or lack of), style, etc. etc.

Can we compile here a list of aftermarket exhaust systems: cat backs, mufflers, headders,etc., with what each system is intended to accomplish (and actually does)? For example:

The Gibson Swept Side is designed to keep or better HP and low end torque. This system is not for those who want noise. It is only slightly louder than stock, and is even the same or quieter in some cases. Prices vary from area to area, call around for the best one.

If I've left anything out, or if anything is wrong, please correct it here. People's testimonies would be great here aswell.

I think this would save repetitive questions and would save many people time when they are comparing different systems to purchase. Also, people might know who to contact for testimonies on certian items.
