Results of Gibson Split Rear install
I finally got the Gibson Split Rear installed yesterday. At first I was a little disappointed with how loud it was. It definitely had an excellent tone, but I didn't think it was as loud as I wanted it. After an evening of driving around, and then the commute this morning I have decided that it is PLENTY loud enough. Any louder I would have been annoyed on the way to work this morning. There was a bit more noise and vibration in the cab on the highway this morning than I expected, but it wasn't TOO bad.
As far as power is concerned there is a noticeable difference. I was leaving rubber at red lights on dry pavement from a stop. Previously it took a little bit or gravel or water in order to do this. Most impressively, I punched it through a 90 degree turn (granted the pavement was wet here) and was spinning up all the way through second gear. Definitely a cool feeling!
My fun for the evening is going to be driving by parked cars in Boston to see if I can set off alarms.

I have the tow package. I didn't have a problem with the rear exit and the spare, but the guy that installed it said that it was really really close.
Good luck! Let me know how it turns out.

I just had that system installed with a tow package/spare and the guy decided to custom weld all the joints and only make the pipes as long as they needed to be(not to make it to close). I watched him do the job and was very happy with the result. Cost me a 100$ but he also tacked the tips on and the job was great. Now I do not have to worry if I add a larger spare. I am very happy with the look & sound. Good luck with it!

I had a Gibson Split Rear System in stalled on my 99 F-150 RC\SB 5.4L. It was worth the money. I have noticed more torque and hprsepower, as well as gas mileage. The sound is just what I have been looking for!!
