Post Time for a new exhaust system

Hello, I am new here and I'm hoping that you all can give me some feedback on a question that i have. A friend of mine has a f150 5.4L with dual exhaust that sounds really good. The person that did the job cut the muffler off and at that point welded on a y pipe. From there the pipes go around the spare tire and out the back. The tips are 18" long and i believe 3" in diameter. I want to do the same to my truck however i have a 4.6L. Will there be much difference in the sound between the two? Any oppinions and ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up

I can't tell ya about the difference between the 5.4 and 4.6, but that's exactly the way mine is and it's pretty loud. I think you'll like it. Good luck!

How can I put pics on here? I got 1 pipe going back from each converter with 18" glass packs. It's loud but not real loud.

If you place the tags [*i*m*g*] in the front and [*/*i*m*g*] at the end of the picture address you should be able to post it. Remember to take the '*' out of what I put. This is not an html code, but a ubb code. A little easier and a little different. Good luck.
