I've just got my truck back from the exhaust shop yesterday. I had them install the ForceII cat-back system from Flowmaster. The kit has a 3-chamber 50 series muffler(1in2out) and dual side exit with 3" chrome tips. The kit looks really good and sounds even better. Not too loud at all, yet still healthy. The truck definetly pulls harder in the upper rpm's. I did not feel any loss of low-end either. Very good quality kit for $300.

It's tough buying an exhaust and you always hold your breath until you start it up the first time and go for a ride.

I just ordered a Magnaflow muffler, Magnaflow Mandrel-Bent pipes, and Magnaflow 3" tips.

I basically built my own cat-back system. I'm excited to receive it.

Did you put the pipes out the back or the sides? And how long are your tips (12", 18", etc)?

 

I also have the Flowmaster cat back duals out the back on my 4.6 and one thing i noticed is that it realy cleaned up the shifting from first to second gear. It's so much smother now than it was with the stock system. However if feels like i lost a bit of low end, it doesn't seem to pull as hard as it did, it feels like i can wind it right out in first gear where as befor i had to shift into second real fast when i was hammering on it. Anyone else experience this?

 

I just got my Flowmaster Force II system with the 40 series muffler and SI/DO and the 3" chrome tips installed on my '03 Supercrew today. What a difference this makes in performance, sound, and looks. Finally, my big V8 sounds like a big V8. Meinecke and Midas wanted $350 and up for the install. I found Big Joe's (small hole in the wall) here in Ft. Worth, TX that did it for $232 installed. This place was great. They answered all of my questions and showed me what was going on through the whole process. If you're in the DFW metroplex, I highly recommend them!

Also, this is a great complement to my Iceman cool FIPK.
