Cool Flowmaster Cat-Back

I have just ordered the Flowmaster Force II kit for my truck. It comes with a 50 SUV Muffler. I currently have a 40 series using the stock pipes. Will the 50 series have the sound I want or will it be to quiet. Or do I need to order a 40 Series Delta Flow. I know I will need to add about 4 to 6 inches of pipe.

Cool

I just put the 50 series suv on my 99 F150 and at first at idle I thought it was to quite but as soon as I took off I knew any more would sound cheesey. The best H.P. cars in the world sound tight and throaty without being to loud. This is it! What a good sound without sounding "Highschool". To loud is anoying and nobody that knows High proformance turns their head when a truck can be heard a block away when not getting on it. Anyway just my opinion. By the way the model is #17226 and was purch from Summit Racing for $291.39 and bolted right on with no extra anything. We did heat and pull the stock system apart at muffler instead of cutting so no extra pipe and everthing fit perfect.

I don't know if you think the 50 series is going to be too quiet, as I don't know your taste and what you think is to quiet. However, I will tell you that the 50 series, to me, in my opinion, has kind of that same sound as the swept-side gibson. I think that it isn't deep and throaty until at wot. Good luck. Stick with Flow though!!!

I found the Flowmaster kit barely louder than stock, and modified it with a 40 series Delta flow. Check my old thread for details:
