I just ordered a set of SVO headers for my truck. I am hoping to pick up a few ponies with them as wel as some improvement on mpg. My question is , has anybody used them? and if yes did the dealer install them? also, since they are a ford product, will they void the warranty? by the way i ordered the coated ones.

They should only have an effect on warranty if the warranty claim you are making is directly a cause of the headers. According to this article:

But the SVO headers do not (as far as I know) have a C.A.R.B. number and are listed as being for offroad use only. I don't know if that would complicate things.

I installed JBA headers a couple of months ago. It took longer than expected but no major problems. Mine is a 4.6, I've heard the 5.4 is a little tougher. The main thing that gave me fits is the EGR tube. You need to loosen it at the top of the engine, there is not much room to get a wrench on that sucker.

I have JBA headers on my truck and I noticed a change in the way my truck ran right away. I gained about 20 to 25hp right away. That mixed with the K&N filter and 3" pipes makes sooooooooooooooo much difference.

Go to www.oemfordparts.com. once you are there
go into svo parts. Then go to trucks and suv and you will find the headers listed. They are about 285.00 plus shipping. hope this helps.By the way you might have to wait because they do not have in stock all the time.

Getting the dust off of this old topic. Any one used the SVO headers? Did you get them jet coated. How is the end result, would you recomend them?
