Dynomax Ultra-Flo

I am finally going to put a Dynomax Ultra-Flo 6" round single 2.5" exhaust and a small Gibson slash cut SS tip on my truck. Will this be really loud, considering it's not a dual system? The reason I chose Ultra-Flo is because it it stainless steel inside and out, and it has a straight through design. And I'm going with a 2.5" exhaust pipe. Give me your comments on what you think about this exhaust system. Thanks.

Well, it might be like comparing apples and oranges, but I had some Dynomax "Drag Master" (or something like that...) oval mufflers on a 5.0 GT at one point. Straight through design as well (It was great when my cat broke apart, as the pieces blew out the tailpipe!). They were ok, but the use fiber packing and were not really that loud IMO. Changed them because the welds around the outlets were broken after 18 months!

I had some Flowmasters on before then, and didn't really care too much for them either.........

Ended up with some Flo Pro mufflers and they were pretty loud, but didn't have the drone that the Flowmasters had.

I've got another Flo Pro single 3" oval on my F150 and not what I would call 'loud', but has a nice deep rumble to it and no drone in the cab at all.

Used to have a Gibson SS and that's a quiet muffler! (a baffle broke loose and it rattled).

Well, that settles that. A broken weld? Sheesh! I will just go with Magnaflow. Hopefully they are built better.

your going to let a broken weld make your mind up ?

I put some Dynomax ultra-flo on my 95 Cobra mustang. And I loved them. they sounded AWESOME really when you put your foot into it. Didn't have the drone like the flowmasters did.

I am going to put them on my F150 now

Broken welds = poor craftsmanship IMO. I've never heard a complaint about Magnaflow. So that only says one thing...
