Question Exhaust Cost and Recommendations

This is my first post, so bear with me. From the sounds of the exhaust talk the last week or so, it sounds to me like we need to keep a little backpressure to keep torque.??
So the way everyone is talking, the way to go is the FM 70 series, si/so, stock pipes. I was wondering if anyone had replaced the stock muffler, and moved the tail pipe from the dum@#$ location in front of the tire, and had it relocated to behind the tire, and what the cost of this little ordeal would be?? I'm damn tired of getting my wheel all dirty driving on dirt roads when the steam is coming out all over the tire!! I'm open to anyone elses suggestions in what to do here, I need to get it moved, and NEED all the power I can get, for towing. So let this rookie hear what you all have to say about this!!
