Talking Ravin...cool bunch of guys......

I recently e-mailed them asking about a particular setup. They sent me a full color
brochure with the name and address of their dealer who has the mufflers in stock.
They also sent me a cool 3" x 10" bumper sticker with their logo on it.
BTW: The address They gave me was in
Pearland, quite a drive for us Houston guys, but if they have them in stock it should be worth the drive.

98SCREAMER,

I emailed them as well when looking at their mufflers, they were really helpful in the questions I had about their products, and gave me the closest Midas shops with the Ravins in stock. I didn't have any bad experiences getting this system, from researching it to having it installed. They met my needs perfectly.

I feel the same. They have been very helpful and nice trying to help. I contacted them via email and received by regular mail a color brochure with basically the same information they have in their web site. But no sticker!!!!

They must've sent the brochure out on the
day I sent the e-mail,cause my mail only
gets forwarded to me once a month, and I got it two weeks later. Do they make 2 1/4
in a SISO conf. I asked them about a DIDO,and they didn't make one. I have true duals and want the full bore deep sound, hehe. ,,,,,98

I emailed them about three weeks ago, asking for some stickers, (they weren't included in the muffler box) so far I haven't got any stickers, but the did sent me a cool little hat with the Ravin logo on it!

screamer-- I don't know where you are in Houston, but The Woodlands location does stock a few of these. I got mine there, but had it installed somewhere else cheaper. I can refer you if you want, or if you want to actually hear a Ravin-- let me know!

I am not ready for the exhaust yet. But I have been gathering information and in my case I am force to buy it (if going with a Ravin) from the USA. We do not have any Midas here in Puerto Rico and the closest is in Florida.

I called a couple of them and none has in stock the models I was looking for. That would work for me since my brother lives in Miami and if the Midas is close to him he can pick it up and bring it in for Christmas. No shipping!!! At this moment I am more incline to the Gibson Super Truck but that's not final.

Just a friendly option for you-- I dabble in wholesale jewlery! My dad used to have a shop in Houston, but he closed it a few years ago and left all of his accounts open. I can probably be of some assistance!

Well this is a very sensitive matter since we can't compare under the same variables. Maybe the glasspacks sound OK for some people and may be the opposite for others.

After researching for a long time around I found out that Gibson and Jardine get the more HP from our trucks. Then again this is trusting the source since I have not made any test on my truck. I will buy one or the other depending on what kind of price and shipping I can get. This are complete systems with mandrel bents and I like that.

If I am not satisfied with the final pricing I am getting, I will go with a Ravin that I will be buying from a Midas in Ft. Lauderdale, have my brother pick it up, and bring it to me by Christmas. I am planning on buying the necessary mandrel bends and hangers I need from JCWhitney to create the desired style. I'll get the tips from a different source. Any tips?

Thank you for the observation and I will keep in touch for news out there.

Cool

I think I may go with the mbrp, they have the exact setup muffler that I am looking for. I don't want to get a whole new exhaust as yet,but they have a DI/DO muffler for $109 that will fit right into the system I have now. The guys that did it made the pipes about 6 inches apart, and welded the glasspacks together! I can just imagine how quickly they are going to
rust through like that,,,,,98

Just waiting for mbpr to email me back with their price list on the requested tips.

Will see what we get out of this. I know that by Christmas or before New Year I will be making some noise out there.
