Question for those with dual exhaust tips??

I am planning on putting a Magnaflow SI/DO exhaust setup on my truck and am wodering what size tips I should get for the split rear exit??

I dont want something huge (4+") or something too small like the Borla tips. I was thinking a 3.5" x 12" 15 degree s/s slant cut that Magnaflow offers.

Any pics or suggestions???

mhussey,

I'm thinking of doing the same thing you are (SI/DO to dual rear exits), using 2.5" pipes back to either 3 or 3.5" tips (most likely 3"). From what I've gathered on this board, 2.5" pipes to 3+" tips would work pretty well for a 5.4L. Not 100% sure what to do with the 4.6, but maybe something like 2" pipes to 3" tips would work good. Good luck with whatever you do!

Mike

That is a good size, same as my Bassani Tips

Sorry they are mounted the wrong way for what you are looking for, but it gives you some what of an idea if you cannot find them.

A Member with a Ravin system has some in Dual rear exit form, I cannot remember who, maybe a search on Ravin would give up the S/N ?

Good luck

Steve

very nice...that is what I was looking for! I think I will go 3.5" by 18" if that is not too big.

Jmorg... the pic is great! Any others from further away showing both tips?? What do you have for an exhaust system??

4" tips don't look too big at all and I kinda wish I went with them too... I have 3.5x18" ss tips and they look small from far away. Oh well... they're dirty most of the time anyway

I've got 3"x18" dual out the back

go to owners gallery and my site TexfordD and you can see them...make sure they angle them slightly downward as they come out so you can't see the welds from the street...how much?..they were 50 for both and they are Stainless
