Question Gibson Exhaust Question

Can anyone tell me if I can just buy a Gibson muffler without buying the exhaust system? Do you think I would still get the performance increase?

There's a couple of things to do. Email them with your question or call 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers (1-800-421-1050). I have one of their catalogs and in the Gibson page they show a picture of a muffler alone, with no piping. Maybe they know. Give it a try. Good luck.

Question

ChrisG,(or anyone else)
let me know what you find out. I almost was able to buy one from a guy who thought his was too quiet but he backed out of the deal. I am only interested in the torque, not the noise. I can't afford the whole system. I was told once upon a time that Gibson would only sell the entire system.

Thanks - Martin

Do a search on Gibson Ex. I was greatly disappointed in the quality and longevity of mine!

Chrisg,
I purchased an entire Gibson set-up in August. I went with the stainless steel because I live in upstate NY. I am happy with the performance, but I was hoping it had a little more rumble. I am looking at swapping my muffler out for Either a FM40 or Dynamax Ultra Flo. That would then leave me with a Gibson 3"in dual 2 1/2"out. Let me know if you might possibly be interested.
