Gibson muffler?

Would i gain anything putting in just a Gibson Muffler to replace the stock one? I dont want to get too deep into the exhaust thing for now. Truck is totally stock and I dont want it too loud, just for better flow. Also does gibson have a website i can look up prices etc? Just getting some ideas for now. How about a flowmaster?

I like Gibson alot and have had 3 of them.

I noticed that on the 5.4 it nearly Gets Rid of engine braking at higher speeds. ~definately a sign of less restriction.

One of my main reasons for likeing Gibson at first was the fact that they have a GOOD throaty sound but not real loud at all.

Just type in Gibson Exhaust on any search engine and you will get a ton of choices to shop for the best price.

Good luck!

...generally, anything is better than the stock muffler. Replacing it would definitely result in significant gains.

Have you seen how big that stock muffler is? WOW

Yeah the Gibson is a good choice if you dont want it too loud.

My wife approves of our Gibson Super Truck.

If I was a younger guy and didn't have to share my truck I go for the magnaflows, but Im not. heh.

Hapynzap,

Is your Gibson ST that mellow? Whenever I start the truck up in the morning in the garage, it wakes everyone up! I would've thought that some magnaflows sound more tame than the Gibson ST.

It has mellowed out. Only at WOT does it sound pretty loud.
