First off let me thank all ya'll(damn I even type like a Texan!!!!) for helping me decide what exhaust to go with...I decided to go with a FM 40 cat back w/3" in and 2.5 out and 3.5 x 16" tips. I did this exact setup on both of my trucks.. One is a 2001, 5.4 s/c, 4x4, orp. The other is a 1998 reg cab 4.6 2wd. I got the 01 done first and was pretty pleased with the sound....it wasn't as loud at idle as I thought it would be, but under power it sounded great. Then I got the 98 off the rack and almost died! It sounded totally different than my 5.4!! WTF?
I coulden't believe that the exact same exhaust could sound sooooo different. I was wondering though, since my 98 has 48000 miles and my 01 only has 100 would that make much of a difference? I don't know. Anyway, I like em both. Thanks again to everyone who gave input on this. I got lots more in store for this 01!!!!!
