Question Can Flowmasters be installed at an angle?

I had my FM 40 single in / out installed yesterday, and they said they had to install it at about a 45 degree angle. (Like it was installed perfectly, and rotated counter-clockwise toward the driver's side.) Is this setup "cool"? Will it cause any problems? TIA

Mine is done the exact same way. I haven't had any problems with it. Also, I've spoken to several people in the business, and they said that it does not disrupt airflow or have any negative impact on performance. I've noticed better torque on the low end and very sweet sound on the top-end.

I have the V6 and mine sits almost in the exact middle of my truck and not turned at any angle.

My V6 was the same...dunno why it "can't" be done with the V8.

I just had FM 50 series put on my truck. It's 97 so the tailpipe exits in front of the right rear tire and I had them increase the tailpipe to 3". It was a tight fit but they managed to keep the muffler straight and have the tailpipe coming out in a nice angle. You can see pictures from link in my signature.
