New To Ford
Hello All. I am a new maybe Ford owner, although my wife has an Expedition (I have three Chevys). I am thinking about purchasing a SuperCrew F150. I would like to hop the truck up a bit with cold air induction and something in the exhaust area as well and have couple of questions. What type of exhaust is on a F150? single, dual? Also would like any recommendations on exhaust systems or just mufflers. I would like a nice sound on the outside, not to obnoxious but cool, with no resonance on the inside. Any info appreciated.

The F150 has a "Y"-pipe that creates a single-exit exhaust system. The exit is behind the right-rear tire. It has a big honkin' restrictive muffler.
As you can see from the numerous posts in this and the "Aftermarket Exhaust" thread, everyone has their own opinion about what is best. I'd suggest you research the opinions given and find one that attempts to meet your criteria. Just remember- what's loud to you may be quiet to someone else.
