Firedude

There isn't a "true dual" system available.
If you want a dual exit cat-back then there are many chioces. Borla, Gibson, Dynomax and maybe Flowmaster. I prefer the dual, out the side over the dual out the back. Everyone has the out the back systems. Also, all your exhaust gets blown on what ever your towing. www.borla.com www.gibsonexhaust.com www.a-1performance.com

Cool

Yeah ok thx v-10 man, and im sorry i didnt make myself more clear on what i wanted. i meant a cat back system since i dont wanna go through all the extra work and everything on getting a complete. What system are you running? i need replies i am totally confused on which one i would like. the local midas shop wants $320.00 for a cat back with off make flowpro muffler, and that is out the back, i also like the side exit dual pipes looks are better and your not choking your trailer out. well again thank you for your reply and i hope someone else can give me more info on sounds and looks of there pipes....

I put my cat-back on way back in Jan. 1999. At that time there were only two companys making them for the V10. Gibson and Borla and those were single 3" systems. I bought the Borla. It was a high quality kit. It sounds mellow with no rumble at all, more like a roar. After 43,000 miles it is still doing great. Trying to get a good sound out of the V10 is hard. If I were to do it now, I think I'd go with either kit that offers the dual, out the side exit. Borla is stainless steel, while the Gibson has an aluminized or SS option. Don't expect much either. My guess is that these kits add only 10-20 hp max and you won't feel that.

Another option is a Stinger kit from Banks. It uses a 3 1/2" tailpipe and muffler with a HUGE 4" polished SS tip. It also includes a K&N type air filter and a new filter housing with a larger opening. Banks claims up to 29 hp and 45 tq with 4% gain in mpg. Look at www.dieselpage.com/fv10p1.htm Banks retails this kit for $579 That dieselpage site(DIS) sells it for $521.82. If you add up the price of the Borla and include the airfilter then you may be close to the cost of the Banks.
