? on exhaust systems and mounting Setup............
I'm looking to buy a new F150 SuperCrew in a month or two, and want to put dual exhuast on it. The reason I'm getting a new truck is to get 4x4.
My current truck (98 F150 4.6 V8) has a single catback split to 3in duals goin out the back, Love the sound - I tromp on it almost all the time. but the way it was installed I don't think it'll last. Had a 2-man shop put it on and they used a small piece of steel welded to the frame and to the inside of the 3in. tip running out the back. (for support) Living in Texas this is no problem, but I'll be moving back north up near lake Michigan, and I'm pretty sure that this is gonna rust kinda fast once I get back in the lovely salt and snow.
I'd like to know what exaust systems out there have better mounting systems than this, what their performance/sound is like, etc.
I don't neccessarily want a drag strip kind of sound, just a clean, mellow, "hey there's something more to this baby" kinda sound, that is easier, more stable and more reliable to mount.
Thanks in advance
BartMan,

Most of the major mfgr cat-back systems utilize the factory hangers, are dyno-tuned for performance, and include mandrel bent pipe. Just FYI.
