Question Does the 70 series flowmaster sound good?

I am going to put an aftermarket exhaust on my truck, but am unsure about what to do. I want a good sounding tone, but not too loud or annoying on long trips. Is the 70 series flowmaster the way to go?

Cool

54ford,
The 70 series is quiet, you should try a delta tech 50 series. there is no drone inside the cabin and the sound outside is music to anyone ears. By the way, do not waste your money in a whole system. Just change muffler and you will gain the same as if you changed to 3" piping.

FUTURE MODS: driving lights, LS AND 4.10 GEARS.

Thumbs up

I've got the 70 series and I love it. No drone at any speed but you can tell it isn't stock when you hammer it. It is also one of the few modifications I could actually feel an improvement in performance. It is also a good way to remove heat from engine compartment, need to make sure heat shields are in place. The 70 series is really intended for use in tow vehicle and motor home applications but it works great on the F-150. If you want more noise, go with the 50 series, but expect some drone if you are towing.

All I can tell you is my experience and that of two other guys that I know: I checked out flowmaster and all the rest and decided to go for a Borla SS Dual exhaust. Damn I love the sound, not so loud the wife complains but you can definitely hear the throaty rumble. Check definitely was more peppy after the install. Nice but expensive!
