Question dumb question

Is the cad. converter supposed to be just in front of the muffler???? I looked at mine today and all that was in front of the muffler was two feet of pipe (obviously added). Was that the converter or is there two comverters(one on each side). Either way something is gone!!??

Black 98,

The cats are just after the exhaust manifolds and before the "Y" that connects to the section of pipe you see connected to the muffler. I think the section of pipe you see is the difference in the length of the regular cab short bed exhaust length and that of the supercab short bed and regular cab long bed trucks! It's added to extend the legnth of the exhaust system to accomodate the 139" wheel base of the supercab and long bed trucks!

Hey Paul, don't forget about us 157" wheel base guys!
Black98, your converters should be under your doors.

I thought that was what those were, but wasn't sure. Great that means that I have two of them to go bad. Thanks for Info.
