Question Paging Dazed and all other exhaust specialist!!!

Okay Guys!

I had a flowmaster 40 muffler part#430402 Not Delta Flow 3inch in and dual 2.5 out. I have a 5.4 Engine in my F150.

Well Here's the problem it isn't loud enough. I gain low end and High end torque unlike some people which I am well pleased but man it isn't loud a at all. I still have the 4 factory cats on it.

What Can I Do to fix this. My truck only has 900miles on it so if I take and replace the cats or gut the cats what can I do to still get warranty service without them knowing ?

How many miles have you other guys waited till you gutted your cats or changed to high flow cats and what has dealers been saying to you all about this.

Buy the way I am new. I bought 2 2002 chevy's and both smoked like a frieght train so I got fed up and bought me an F150 Flareside Xlt with Sport Package it is white I'm Very proud of this truck it runs good and Best of all it doesn't smoke like the chevy's. So I have been converted

Any help would be well appreciated.

I have the 50 series delt flow, but I noticed that there is a break in period with our mufflers. My exhaust seemed to get increasingly louder after my engine hit 10,000 mi. For the first 5,000 mi. my exhaust was virtually inaudible. Part of our problem is that we have four cats on our trucks, unlike the chebby's and fodges. They only have two.

PS mods like FIPK and Superchip really make her howl! My exhaust, a three-chamber, rips when at full throttle.

Yea, my muffler, a Flo-Pro s/i d/o sounded alright when new and now it sounds great. It has about 9,000 miles on it. I think, the older the muffler gets, the better and more aggressive it sounds. Just my opinion.
